(MENOMONIE, WISCONSIN) Another weekend and another crown jewel event for Mars Racing, as they invaded Batesville Motor Speedway in Locust Grove, Arkansas on August 15-16 for the 22nd edition of the 'Topless 100.' A stellar field of 63 competitors piled into the Batesville-area speedplant and all eyes were fixated on the $40,000 winner's check. Jimmy Mars qualified eleventh fastest in Group A during Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series time trials on Friday night and later grabbed the third and final transfer spot through his heat race behind only prelim winner Don O'Neal and runner-up Mike Marlar.

When Saturday evening rolled around at Batesville, Jimmy's #28 MB Customs mount started the 100-lap headliner from the inside of the eighth row. During the course of the roofless spectacular, which was taped for television by the Lucas Oil Production Studios, the Menomonie, Wisconsin ace picked off seven competitors en route to a steady eighth place performance. Full results from the 'Topless 100' weekend can be accessed online at www.lucasdirt.com.

The #28 team has one single event marked on their calendar for the upcoming weekend, as they will make a rare visit to Oshkosh Speedzone Raceway in Oshkosh, Wisconsin on Friday evening, August 22 for the annual running of the 'George Scheffler Memorial.' The Corn Belt Clash Late Model Series will preside over the one-day program, which boasts a $6,000 payday. Additional information on this race can be obtained by clicking on www.cornbeltclash.com.
