(GRAYSON, KENTUCKY) Josh McGuire recorded his fourth feature victory of the 2012 campaign on Friday night, June 22 at the Southern Ohio Speedway in Wheelersburg, Ohio! Josh was quick all night long at SOS, as he set fast time during the qualifying session and later finished third in the dash. After starting the unsanctioned main event from the inside of the second row, Josh grabbed the top spot on lap five and never looked back. Even with a deflating tire in the waning laps, the Grayson, Kentucky standout claimed the $2,000 top prize in the 25-lapper over Paul Davis, Jeff Arnold, Jeremy Rayburn, and Darren Kattine!

A day later, the Josh McGuire Racing (JMR) team rolled into the Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth, Ohio looking for the weekend sweep. Josh once again garnered Fast Time honors following qualifying and later posted a fourth place finish in the inverted dash. The popular driver known as "Bad Fast" drove a steady race in the A-Main and wound up third in the final rundown behind only winner R.J. Conley and runner-up Jackie Boggs. Complete results from the Buckeye State double-dip can be viewed online at www.southernohiospeedway.com and www.portsraceway.com.

“I will take a first and a third each weekend we go racing,” exclaimed McGuire earlier this week. “We had a pretty good car on Friday night at Southern Ohio, but we got helped out some in that a bunch of other guys got flat tires. In fact, mine went totally flat right after the race, so we were fortunate to make it to the finish. Then at Portsmouth, I feel like we had a decent car all night, but we are going to have to find some speed before the Lucas Oil guys visit this Sunday. The whole team will work hard this week at the shop and hopefully we can put our heads together and get a little faster for this weekend!”

Next up for the #41 JMR team is scheduled to be a pair of high-profile Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series showdowns in the state of Ohio leading into the 4th of July holiday. On Sunday, July 1, the Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth, Ohio will take center stage by hosting a $10,000 to win tilt. Following a day off on Monday, the Muskingum County Speedway in Zanesville, Ohio will hold a similar show on Tuesday, July 3.
