Anyone think it might happen. Looks like the R word will be here friday:mad:. But hopefully it won't be enough to rain out saturday!

I will be there in mediums and jennifer will be there in lights. How many will be there in those classes? Anyone?

If it rains out friday my brother will be there in jr. 3 as well. Anyone planning on going in this class?

Sumo I am going to send you a pm.

I started to run points last year in lights but then the one kid moved to 2 cycle, and everyone added weight and started running mediums :( and it was down to me and jennifer so we quit going. I know shaun horstman said he will be there a limited schedule in lights. I just decided to run mediums for points cause there are more people. I got some sheet lead and now I can meet weight. If I could get around 4 or 5 people to commit to race points most nights there I would consider lights. But right now as far as I know jennifer is the only one that says she is running for points:confused:

see why don't everyone just drop the weight and run lights? It would be easier on everyone? Lett weight on the kart so it wouldn't break your back to light it. I will do what everone else decides but it would be nice to do lights instead of mediums.

I'm hoping they don't cancel to quik like last week. If they need trucks to run the track in, they need to ask and they would most likley have some help. They would probablly have a good crowd if they could run.

I agree they would get a good crowd, and there may be a few lights for a while but chances are the mediums will be there all year with a good kart count. That just they way it worked last year.

I agree with that 5430racing.... they called it awful quick this last week. I will be there on saturday in mediums if they do not rain out. Are you guys planning on being their?? Anyone else gonna be there in mediums? or lights??

16car... I was in lights last year and quit going cause everyone went to mediums...we had like 7-10 karts the first 3 or 4 nights and everyone quit going. I hate that but I guess thats the way it is:eek:

5430racing pm sent

around 10:30pm last friday night we had a severely heavy downpour that lasted for about 10 minutes. I seriously dont think that you guys wanted to run on a track that was nothing more than a bog. what would be the sense of trying to pack the track down with your trucks if they are going to be is stuck? i went out to the track sunday morning and there was no way were could have raced sat night. the pits were good, i drove right through them. so please, lets not start complaining about being rained out. they made the right call last week. once we actually start racing i am sure the competition will be tight enough.

I wasn't dissing the track I just thaugh that they called it really soon from normal. I don't want to start a bashing. I know belle rive got rain early on friday and still raced... we just had a damp, moist track. I will be there this weekend if JYI races so its all good!:)

Sheet lead had best be bolted to kart. K-Dawg, as you told me, you quit running here last year because you couldn't afford to race 2 nights a weekend, at that point, all the lights bolted on weight and moved up to make a larger medium class.
Congrats to all of you who ran the entire season last year and supported your track.
As of right now, the forecast does not look good for Friday, but if it comes tomorrow, and we are able to run Sat., I hope to see a big field of racers.
Till then......Racer Rik

My sheet lead will have a bolt through it and the seat and will be double lock nutted. I look out for myself and everone elses safety.

3.) I quit going after I went to a race and there were only three lights. Me, scott mcgee, and jennifer west. After that week scott moved to 2cycles and jennifer wasn't going every week. As a result of everone moving to mediums I was not getting some compensation in payout to help pay for my trip there which is were the money came into effect. Before even if I got in the top three I could pull enough to help pay for the trip. It was no longer fun for me to race against no one and once I realized that was gonna happen I wasn't gonna waste time. I did not know about sheet lead at the time and possibly would have added weight if I would have got ahold of some. However, I would lost those 5 weeks of lights I ran for points. I took a double whammy but it started when everyone moved out of lights.

Hope that better clarifies my position.

SORRY. I was not slamming anyone for canceling the races early last week. Just a comment about help if needed. No We don't want to race on mud or ruts or spend the gas $ to try. Looking back, it saved everyone $ by canceling early and could make other plans, THANKS.
Also, the nerves are getting thin with me & this weather we've had, and wanting to get some rubber dirty. Sorry again. Lets just sit back and wait for this dang weather to cooperate.

Jyi

If we race on saturday ill be there in the mediums class. But we shouldn't of started untill May anyways it was to cold and rainy.

Just took a trip out to the track. It looks great. Hopefully mother nature works in our favor and lets us get a night in.
