The KAMP Motor Speedway held its awards banquet this evening at the Tippecanoe Shrine Club in Lafayette, Indiana and handed out a large amount of cash and hardware to the top 10 in each of its classes.

The evening was highlighted by the crowning of the 2003 U.M.P. Late Model Division Track Champion, rookie sensation Michael Bradley. Bradley posted 2 feature wins, 18 top 5 finishes and 20 top 10 finishes as well as a new track record enroute to his rookie season championship!

Bradley would pocket $3,000.00 for his championship effort and added an additional $100 cash and a $50.00 product certificate from Lane Automotive for his track record qualifying time. Bradley will also deliver the Engine Builders Championship to Rochester, Indiana to Gaerte Engines along with the Manufacturers Championship for chassis to the Masters Brothers of MastersBilt Chassis in Coruthersville, Indiana.

Other class champions were Lee Hall in the Bomber Division who picked up $500.00 for his seasons efforts, Rick Hufford in the Super Street Class earning $800.00 for his seasons effort and Bob Pohlman, Jr. who topped the U.M.P. modified division and earned a $1,000.00 check. Butch Hatton who is Owner/Crew Chief on Pohlman's championship mount was named Crew Chief of the Year.

Lee Hall was named the Sportsman of the Year with Eddie Leviner taking home the Jim Fiedler True Grit Award.

The top 10 in each division earned year end point fund money with $8,800.00 being handed out to the late Model division alone.

A stellar first year effort by both Bob and Gayle Kamp and their efforts were honored by a standing ovation from those in attendance.

The remainder of the late model division 2003 points tally is:
1. Michael Bradley $3,000.00 awarded
2. Jim Laws $1,500.00
3. Eddie Leviner $1,000.00
4. Bob Pohlman, Jr. $700.00
5. Dick Potts $600.00
6. Dan Walden $500.00
7. Roger Long $450.00
8. Mark Stetler $400.00
9-TIE Jason Feger $325.00

Definitely one of if not the finest banquet I have ever attended in 30 years of following the sport! Congratulations to The Kamp's on a safe and succesful rookie promoter season!
