Kegan Hagedorn, Jacob Blumenstein, and Morgan Keyser Win 5/10 Jr. Drags

Kegan Hagedorn, Jacob Blumenstein, and Morgan Keyser continued their Gateway Jr. Drag Racing Season the way they expected, ending the the night in victory lane. After the night’s racing events, Chris “Shotty” Kesel, Kelsey Beimfohr, and Brittany Scott take over the points leads in their respective classes.

Morgan Keyser pushed herself into second place in Gateway’s 8-9 Jr. Dragster Division by winning the event. Keyser defeated Drew Earley in the final round. Points leader Brittany Scott, who won the first event of the season, got to the semi’s where she was beat by Keyser.

Jacob Blumenstein, 2-time Gateway 8-9 year old Champion also moved himself into second place in Gateway’s 10-13 Jr. Dragster Division by winning the event. He defeated points leader Kelsey Beimfohr in the final in a race that Blumenstein had a .004 light. After 2 final round appearances, Beimfohr has a 22 point lead.

Kegan Hagedorn won his class and also moved himself into second place in Gateway’s 13 – up Jr. Dragster Division. Hagedorn ran dead-on his 7.99 and defeated Carly “The Bug” Bryant in the finals. 2006 Division 5 Champion Chris “Shotty” Kesel is new points leader, followed by a tie between Hagedorn and 2006 Division 3 Jr. Dragster Champion Austin Suhre. Event runner-up Bryant moves to up to fourth.
