The NASCAR Night special event at Quincy Raceways was a huge success with Kenny Schrader, Kenny Wallace and Steven Wallace competed with the UMP Late Models, IMCA Modifieds and the Quincy Bombers. All the special guest drivers put on a great show as Schrader won the thirty five lap UMP Late Model feature, Kenny Wallace claimed third in the IMCA Modifieds and Steven Wallace sailed to a third place finish in the Bomber division in his first ever race on the dirt.

The UMP Late Model feature event got off to a very rough start as Brian Collins looped his car coming off of turn two on the first lap setting up a carnage of cars on the back stretch. When the Red light turned to yellow to bring the field back to movement on the track, six cars were unable to restart including, Collins, Johnny Johnson, Ed Dixon, Todd Bates and Rusty Schlenk. Schrader used his outside front row starting spot to grab the lead at the drop of the green flag for the restart and set sail into the lead with Tim Lance holding down the second spot. Mark Burgtorf climbed into second on the fifth lap and started to slowly work to reel in the NASCAR veteran. Schrader maintained a comfortable lead while negotiating lapped traffic until a caution flag came out on the twenty second lap allowed Burgtorf to get to Schraders bumper. Schrader used the low side of the track on the restart with Burgtorf jumping up to the high side. The two drivers then began a battle of side by side racing with Burgtorf gaining the advantage in the corners and Schrader pulling ahead coming off of turn one and three. Burgtorf tried a banzai move on the last lap and jumped into the cushion giving Schrader just enough time to pull to a two car length victory over Burgtorf in second. Roger Brickler rallied to take the third spot with Rusty Griffaw in fourth and Tim Lance in fifth. Lance, Gary Wilson, Schrader and Ed Dixon were the heat race winners with Griffaw taking the win in the pole dash and Keith Pratt grabbing the win in the B-Main.

Kenny Wallace started his night off the right way by taking the win in the first heat race for the IMCA Modifieds. The main event for the mods had three caution flags thrown on the first lap as the drivers seemed to have some real problems avoiding contact with other cars. The event finally got underway on the fourth try with Jeff Horst taking the lead followed by Bill Parks and Wallace. Wallace blasted into the lead on the second circuit and pulled out to a comfortable margin over the next few laps until the caution flew on the eighth lap bringing Henry Delonjay and Dave Wietholder within striking distance. Wallace maintained the lead on the restart but Wietholder managed to get by Delonjay on the tenth lap then pulled around Wallace for the lead a lap latter. Wietholder then held off Wallace for the top spot until Delonjay worked his way around the St. Louis Cardinals sponsored car for second on the nineteenth lap. Delonjay then set his sights on Weitholder but was unable to make the pass and had to settle for second with Wallace in third, Vance Wilson in fourth and Terry Wilson in fifth. Wallace, Ted Allen, and Delonjay were the heat race winners.

The final feature of the night was the Bombers as Steve Carlin and Matt Burgtorf sat on the front row with Steven Wallace outside of row three. Carlin took the early lead followed by Burgtorf until the yellow flag fell for Wallace who had spun coming off turn two on the second lap. Wallace fell to the rear for the restart as Carlin and Burgtorf battle for the lead until a lap ten restart, with Wallace advancing back up through the field to the sixth spot. Wallace worked his way through the field after the restart and looked comfortable driving on the dirt for the first time. Carlin maintained the lead to the checkered flag followed by Travis Booher in second and Steven Wallace in third. Eddie Dieker claimed fourth and Aaron Brocksieck fifth. Matt Burgtorf and Dieker were the heat race winners.
