Kinnaird now hospitalized at St. Joe in St. Charles

I just got off the phone with Mel and he's now in St. Joesph Hospital in St. Charles suffering from an irregular heartbeat. He said so far they have not been able to get it regulated. (It's 12:04 p.m.) and he just kicked back to get some sleep. Evidently he's really gone through one tough night.. I asked him what room he was in and he couldn't remember. He said he was pretty groggy and really wasn't wanting a bunch of company. Just wanted to keep everyone updated..

Thanks Jeff, we are all certainly standing by on this one! Mel does so much to keep his track in tip top shape that it's not surprising that this could happen. I just hope it's something he can recover from, he has been a friend to so many for so long and has done so much for racing in our area! He is not only an award winning promotor/owner, but he is also an award winning person in our book!

Mel kinda put a scare in everyone at the track Sat. night when the ambulance pulled up and we seen him get in it. Thoughts and prayers are with him and his family.
