Warrensburg’s own Central Missouri Speedway presents KMMO 1300 AM- 102.9 FM Radio Race Night along with the Annual Kids Night at the races which is always a special event that everyone looks forward to every year. All kids 12 and under will be permitted to come down to the track surface at intermission to run foot races with their respective age groups. All kids 12 and under will receive a free goodie bag full of donated items from racers and fans. A bike donated by Steve and Julie Hisle will also be given away at intermission. Kids just need to register for the drawing then a winner will be determined when the name is randomly selected during intermission. In addition, all kids 12 and under will receive a free hot dog and drink courtesy of track owner’s Earl and Susan Walls.

The action on the track will be equally as exciting with the ‘mighty’ Modifieds, ULMA Late Models, Street Stocks and B-Modifieds engaged in their weekly race for the black and white checkered flags. Last weekend Jason Thompson from Concordia won his third feature of the year in the modified division filled with many talented drivers from the surrounding states including Missouri, Kansas and Iowa. Aaron Marrant remains the Modified point’s leader with a fourth place finish last Saturday evening.

Warrensburg Late Model driver, Jon Binning is the current ULMA track point’s leader and three-time feature winner with his second feature win in a row last week. The ULMA Late Model drivers are gearing up in preparation for their $1500 to win special feature on Friday, September 4 along with a $3,000 to win Modified feature on Saturday, September 5. This weekend drivers and fans can purchase advance registration pit passes and grandstand tickets for the Labor Day weekend events. You can receive up to a significant discount through advanced registration and the combined two-night grandstand admission tickets.

In the Street Stock division, Brian Johnson from Independence continues to dominate and lead in the points chase with his eighth run into victory lane last Saturday. Michael Mullins continues his quest to over-take Johnson in second place with just 5 weeks of racing remaining.

Jacob Ebert from Oak Grove had some bad luck last weekend in his featuer, but remains atop of the point’s standings in the B-Modified division. Chris Brockway from Warrensburg claimed his third feature victory of the season last weekend with a solid run to the checkered flag to continue his climb up in the top-five. Michael King moved up into the second spot this week after five top-five finishes this season.
