Kramer Goes Two for Two With NARA BoB Modified Win at Ponderosa Speedway

Junction City, KY-May 20- Joey Kramer of Hanover, IN would be victorious in the NARA Battle of the Bluegrass Modified Series event at the Larry Yantz promoted Ponderosa Speedway in Junction City, KY. The win would be the second straight in Battle of the Bluegrass Modified Series competition for the second generation speedster who was 2003 National Dirt Late Model Rookie of the Year.

The Rattliff Motors A-Main event was plagued by a dozen caution flags, that kept continuous green flag laps at a premium, with the longest green flag period in the event being from laps 4 to 14. Kramer would lead the entire way in the main event and would take the win aboard his Hill's Historical Painting/Super Shine Auto Wash and Window Tint/Perry's Auto Sales/Mom and Dad sponsored #77 Lightning Chassis, Kramer Race Engine powered entry that was shod with Hoosier Tires. Adam Cole would take runner up honors in his career best "BoB Mod Squad" finish to this point. Tommy Bailey crossed the finish line third, but would be disqualified for a post race altercation, thus putting 16th starting Joe Turner in third place in the final rundown. Defending Battle of the Bluegrass Modified champion Kelly Warren would go fourth after starting 15th. Victor Lee would complete the top five in the final finishing order. Rounding out the top ten were Justin Rattliff, 21st starting Anthony Reams, David Freeman, Eddie Hasty, and 22nd starting Scott Anderson.

The event drew 32 entries with Adam Gootee earning the Racing Optics fast qualifier award with a lap of 15.491 seconds around the 3/8th mile D-shaped clay oval. Four VP Racing Fuel Makin' Power Heats were contested, with those checkered flags falling to Joey Kramer, Victor Lee, Adam Cole, and Russ Gabbert. Arnold Adams and Rick King were the winners of the PBM Performance Products/Dale Meers Race Engines B-Mains. Anthony Reams was the series provisional starter, while Scott Anderson was the track provisional.
