Beloit, KS – After capturing night one of the first annual “Chad McDaniel Memorial” at the Solomon Valley Raceway, Brad Kuhn of Avon, IN once again took home the checkers and the $5,000 first place payout Saturday night on night two of the event. Kuhn would start outside front row alongside 2007 POWRi champ Brad Loyet and jumped to the lead entering turn one and would never relinquish it. A fierce battle for second place waged on through the 30 lap event between Loyet and Zach Daum. Loyet would hold the runner up position until two laps to go when Daum would make his final move and made it stick for the position. Rounding out the top five was Austin Brown and Daniel Adler. Money raised from the event helped to cover education costs for Chad’s children with some competitors of the midget event donating their winnings from both days back to the McDaniel family.
Brandon Graybeal of Leroy, IL started on the pole and dominated the 20 lap POWRi Speedway Motors 600cc Outlaw Micro Sprint event. The event was also co-sanctioned by the ASCS2, Iowa Micro Sprints, Jayhuskers and the Miniakota Micro Sprints. Night 1 winner of the micro sprint event, Jeremy Camp, would come home second followed by Chad Boone, Blake Hahn and Jason Cooper rounding out the top five.
