Kyle Busch syndrome at Tri-City

I think the "Takin' It to the Streets" events should be restricted to those drivers/teams that have been competing in the series all season long. Championship caliber modified and late model drivers should not be allowed to drop down a level and poach the biggest purse of the year from the street stock regulars. It's like seeing Kyle Busch in a truck series race.

i couldnt agree more. the street stock guys deserve this race and shouldnt have to worry about guys from the top classes dropping down just for this race to try and take the big purse.

its easy outdrive them some of those street stock drivers have been at it for many years.

While I understand the point you all are trying to make would you want to beat the same guys you beat any given week. What happened to the world that we don't strive to be the absolute best there is? Again, don't misunderstand, I know the value of that cash to those who race that class regularly. I just think it
would be more special to the winner to have beaten the best drivers.

If your car is set up right, and you are a good driver....then you shouldn't be worried about a driver dropping down to race....most lm, and mod drivers will be at a disadvantage anyway...they are used to a car that drives totally different....ss drivers are used to the way these cars drive.....jmo

That's the problem. when the nod drivers jump in someone else's car and race they race like idiots. They don't care if the take someone out and they dont care who's car they mess up, they won't have to race then next week

belive me,i race in the mod class and some,,not all but some drive like that all the time,,thats why I started 21st and wound up 7th at bc in the 100 lapper

Hancock was in one friday night driving like a idiot like normal. So im sure he will be there tonight tearing shit up!

Just out of curiosity.... What's the difference in a Latemodel, Mod, Open Wheel or any other driver of a class that is higher than the street stock division jumping down a division to race a big show? There are several NASCAR drivers that drop down all the time and race local dirt tracks on big shows....

@DirtTrackin11 the street stock guys/girls have been asking for a big show for years, they support the class and tracks all year round and wanted a chance to earn some big mpney, so Tcs said ok and created this show for them to headline once a year...drivers from mods and late models want to drop down because they think they can or want the chance to win that purse...and the drivers of that class that drive them all year might not have as good a chance to win it if they drop down.....I have only seen one driver drop down and win a bigger race....and I'm not so sure that a street stock regular isn't going to win tonight....I'm pulling for them to have a safe, good show....I have a feeling it will be a good race...

Dirttrackin11 i believe you are totally missing the point of the original post! This class has been fighting for years to get a big show for them and the only one who has stepped up to the plate is Kevin. After the fight they have been putting up its not fair to them for the mod drivers late model drivers or sportsman drivers to jump down to this class just for a big payday! This class is the most deserving of them all as far as im concerned for a big show. So there is a difference! I dont like it in Nascrap or any other division or series so your right im dang sure not going to like it now!

I think the "Takin' It to the Streets" events should be restricted to those drivers/teams that have been competing in the series all season long. While your heart may be in the right place, what you suggest would most likely be the end of this show. The purse isn’t a gift from Tri-City to the street stock drivers. Rather an attempt to draw as many cars and drivers as possible to make the show a success. Racing has always been open to all comers who field a legal car and pay pit admittance. Anything less is bad business and down right un-American.

I dont have a dog in this fight but If anyone really has a problem with this they should be calling the promoters this is getting u no where!,,

I would say the guy complaining doesn't have a chance to win this race anyway I ran this race last year an didn't have a problem with anyone don't lump us all in with one guy if you don't like the way he drives just complain about him and if you don't like competition find another hobby an my advice to anyone with a street stock is to have the best driver you can find in your car tonight don't let your pride or ego cost you a 3000 dollar pay check

I don't believe I missed the point of the original post... The original post basically says the "Takin it to the Streets" should be for the drivers/teams that run street stocks weekly. It's NO different than having a big Latemodel, Mod, Open Wheel show and NASCAR drivers/teams showing up and stepping down to try and take away from the local drivers that run weekly. I don't believe there is a difference! JMO!!! If it is an issue TCS has a rules meeting that is open to everyone before the start of every race season the weekly street stock drivers or anyone else that has a problem with upper class divisions dropping down to run big purse shows could address the issue then. As said before big shows are meant to bring big car counts, fans, and the best of the best!!! Good Luck to all the drivers and crew that participate in the "Takin it to the Streets"!!! May the best car, driver, and team win!!! (-:

Who says the mod guys are any faster........ They just spend more money to race....... pull them out of them big $ racecars and put em in streets, hell they'll be in trouble "what, no pull bar!!" lol....... He said it..... the 3k isnt a gift...... go earn it.......
