LaSalle Speedway Kicks Off 2005 Season this Saturday Night

(LASALLE, ILLINOIS) Following a weekend of cold weather and rain which
forced the cancellation of the open practice session, the LaSalle Speedway
in LaSalle, IL will kick off their 2005 racing season this Saturday evening,
April 30. The Late Model, Midwestern Late Model, Sportsman, and Street
Stock classes will all be in competition on the 1/4-mile, high-banked oval.
The winning purse and start money for each class is listed below:

Late Models: $1,000 to win, $130 to start
Midwestern Late Models: $400 to win, $60 to start
Sportsman: $220 to win, $40 to start
Street Stocks: $110 to win, $30 to start

The Late Models will headline the racing program and defending Track
Champion Frank Reaber is poised to make another run at the championship
again in 2005. 2003 Track Champion Ryan Dauber is also planning on
attending the opening night of racing action at LaSalle this Saturday
evening. You can count on the Late Models, as well as all of the other
classes, to put on a great show for the fans this weekend.

The pit gate will open at 4:00 p.m., with the grandstands to open shortly
after that at 5:00 p.m. Qualifying is set for 6:30 p.m. and the exciting
racing action will take to the track at 7:30 p.m. Adult tickets are $10.00
each for this event and kids 11 and under get in free with a paying adult.
Skybox seats are $12.00 each, with pit passes selling for $25.00 each.

The LaSalle Speedway has released some important tire information for the
Late Model class this week. The Goodyear G40 & G45 tire will replace the
Goodyear X300 & X400. All four tires - the G40, G45, X300 and X400 - will be
legal for competition at the LaSalle Speedway until further notice. Any
driver needing tires or tire information is urged to call the speeedway
