Tulsa, Okla., Jan. 14---Joe Loyet of Loyet Motorsports has released Danny Lasoski from his driving duties at the 2010 Lucas Oil Chili Bowl Midget Nationals, effective Thursday morning.

This decision comes as a response to the financial situation stemming from the Bull Ring Midget Nationals at Kemper Arena in Kansas City, Mo. Lasoski and Scott Pennington were co-promoters of the December 18-19 event. Competitors have yet to receive the purse payout for Saturday Night’s events.

“Loyet Motorsports feels they have an obligation to show support to the other owners and drivers who participated in that event. “We hold no ill-will to Danny, but felt that it was best for both parties to go their separate ways at this time” said Loyet.

Lasoski competed in Tuesday night’s event for the team. There will be no replacement driver for the event.

Is it true that the drivers have not been paid for the KC event? Haven't seen anything on any other site until this showed up on the Chili Bowl site.

Too bad this had to happen that way, but business is business and you need to be paid for your services.

For some reason it does not surprise me. My buddy was there with his sons Quarter Midget and he said there was hardly anybody in the stands Saturday night. I know that I went to the 2008 show, Tickets were about 35 bucks but they also popped you for $10 to park and the concessions were high. This year had about 35 less midget enties. That was enough to make me skip the 2009 Satuday night show. Also it said to show up with tanks empty, so you could by House fuel but i heard that this was not enforced costing him more revenue. It's a shame the competitors are not getting there payout. Stinks.

i hate to hear that drivers and teams are still waiting on there money that they should have got that night of the race.. it has been over a month they should have been paid by now..

It sounds like this may be an event that started out good and then may be gone if people don't get paid. We don't need these type of events to get this way.
