Late Model Weight Question?

What would a race ready late model weigh without driver and any added weight?

It really just depends on your chassis and parts. I had a Barry Wright car that only weighed about 1950 lbs. with no driver and no lead. And my rayburn weighs almost 2150 lbs. the same way.

alot of the lighter chassis are good in that aspect but bad in another,if they take a good hit they are throw away chassis cause it cost more to repair then buy a new bare frame.we have a american made thats real light,we had a rayburn that was a tank, both were fast, but the american made was easier to scal out,we got a new PEIRCE mod thats very light but i can tell you a good hit will do alot of damage, there isnt much there, but hey its FAST!

I've got a Pierce with 230 lbs of lead on it and I still have to put more on for anything over 20 laps burning gas. No lead, it weighs 1997 no driver, no lead, full of fuel, race ready. You're right, it's fast. If I could just get it to turn, it's lethal. Had a horrible push that took forever to correct, I hope.
