Join us for the Madison County Fair Lawn Mower Demolition Derby on Sunday, July 29th! The Gateway Vintage Cars, and KidzMods will be out to race as well. It is big fun in a compact size watching those little lawn mowers battle it out! Come out and see who comes out on top for 2012! Grandstands open at 1:00pm, Demo starts at 2:00pm. Box Seats are $15.00, General Admission is $12.00, kids 10 and under are free.

GENERAL RULES:


1) Must be 18 years of age or parental consent form signed with parent present.


2) HELMET, PROTECTIVE EYEWEAR, AND SEAT BELT REQUIRED.

3) Must have protection bracing around feet and legs - no other bracing allowed on lawn mower.

ü Allowed 12' of steel to brace for legs and mower.


Ø 12' of 1-1/2 x 1-1/2 x 1/8

4) RPMs, transmission, deck and governor must be stock.


5) No engines over 20 horsepower.


6) No wheel weights.


7) No chains.


8) Deck under lawn mower must be factory mounted (unless broke in previous derby, will allow 4 1/2" all thread bolts, must not be welded.


9) Deck belt must be removed or cut.


10)Driver must make contact every 60 seconds or will be disqualified.


11)Any lawn mower that starts fire or loses deck will be disqualified.


12)Any lawn mower that loses the gas cap will be disqualified.


13)If you roll anyone over, you will be disqualified.


14)If you remove seat belt, you will be disqualified.


15)No PTO.


16)No 3-point hitch.


17)Must be able to open hood for pre derby inspections.


18)Must have standard hood, fender, etc.


19)Must meet all rules to compete.


20)ALL JUDGES RULING ARE FINAL.

21)NO ALCOHOL PERMITTED IN THE PIT AREA.

1st class - lawn mowers with snap ring to hold wheels.


2nd class - wheels bolt on.
