Leaps of Love is a nonprofit, Highland based organization that embraces families affected by childhood brain tumors and late-effects of childhood cancer by providing hope, strength, and encouragement to meet challenges they face today as well as the long term effects of tomorrow. There will be many of the families that Leap of Love helps at the track that afternoon playing games, meeting the drivers as they arrive. “Most of these families have never attended a dirt track race before. They are so excited to not only be there, but to have the opportunity to greet the drivers.” For more information about Leaps of Love or the Crate Car Raffle, call 618-410-7212 or go to their website at www.leapsoflove.org or contact Traci Riechmann at traci@leapsoflove.org.

If there are any other drivers that would like to be a part of the Leaps of Love afternoon events to sign autographs, meet the kids, let the kids sit in their car, etc. that is scheduled for 2-3pm in the afternoon at the expo hall. Please contact us and let us know. We will arrange to allow you to in the pits early to park and bring your car up top. For more information please contact us.

Someone is going to wind up on the short end of the stick on this crate point deal. If you give out crate points for showing up and running with the supers, then Rick is getting screwed because he can't drive two cars at the same time. If you give Rick show up points in the crate class for showing up with his super, everybody else in the crate class is getting screwed. If you make him buy 2 pit passes, but not bring his car to get the crate points, then you are just selling points. (If that is the case, how much would it cost me to buy 200 points so that I can win the championship?). If you are looking to fill the super class with crate cars, why not just get rid of the point deal and pay bonus money to the highest finishing crate car. You will get enough that way to fill your super field and nobody gets screwed.
