Lebanon I-44 Speedway Cancelled on Friday,everything set for Sat Night

LEBANON MO. Light but steady afternoon showers forced Lebanon I-44 Speedway track officials to call off the first night of racing at the 1st Annual Bill Willard Memorial. The race will become a one day affair, but will still pay the winner of the 50 Lap O'Reilly Auto Parts Mid-America Racing Series feature $7,500, and guarentee $750 to start.

Gates are slated to open at 5:00 pm on Saturday, September 13, with hotlaps set for 6:45, and racing at 7:30. Racing in five other classes will accompany the O'Reilly M.A.R.S. Super Late Models. Grandstand tickets will be $20.00, with Juniors being $5.00, and 12 and under free. Tier parking will be the same, except 12 and under will be $2.00. Pit Passes will be $30.00 on Saturday.

Among the many prizes to be given away will be tickets to the Winston Cup Event at the Kansas Speedway in October.

All classes will be running heat races and all features will be held on Sat.Night.The payoff has been reduced to 75% of what it was scheduled to be.The O'Reilly M.A.R.S. Cars-N-Stars will run there normal format with heat races,with the top 16 in passing points to lock into the feature,with the next 4 to transfer from the semi's and 2 points provisionals saved for the last 2 spots in the 50 Lap MARS feature.Over 150 cars had checked into the pits on Friday Night.New cars are welcomed in all classes as NO action ever hit the track and draw numbers are still available
