Lebanon,Mo.-The action track of the Ozarks,the LebanonMidwaySpeedway has released its 2009 Racing schedule and has added a couple of new classes for the racing season as PureStocks have been added to the weekly Friday Night Shows while the HillbillyFarmTrucks will be running special Enduro Events for the season.
Billed for its close Friday Night racing action,the Midway will start off with 3 scheduled Sat night practice dates on April 4,11, and 18th.
The Classes competing for the Championship in 2009 will be LateModelSportsman(formally SuperStocks),USRA Modifieds,FactoryStocks,B-Mods,Bombers and PureStocks.Most Friday Night shows will feature 5 classes allowing drivers a little time off during the racing season.
Special Events in 2009 will find the always popular United States Modified Touring Series invading the Midway along with Nascar's Kenny Wallace competing that evening on May 15th.The Lightning Fast Winged OutLaw Warrior 360 Sprint Cars will return to the track for a June 12th event while the Speedway will hold 2 special NonWinged Sprint Events this season on May 1 and also June 26th.THe Winged and NonWinged Sprints will also be part of the Coca-Cola Fall Brawl in Sept.
Open LateModel action will see the Midwest based MARS/DLRA LateModel Series come to town on July 10th along with the MSRA LateModels in a special challange event for the running of the 3rd Annual Larry Phillips Birthday Bash and will also be part of a special 2 day event at the Midway on Labor Day Weekend on Sept 4th and 5th.
The season will close on Sept 25 and 26th with the always exciting Coca-Cola Fall Brawl with another large purse.
The Speedway will be bringing Enduro racing back to the area with an Enduro feature event every last Friday of each month along with the HillbillyFarmTruck Enduro also being run on the same night along with regular racing programs.
In 2009,the Speedway will again sanction with the USRA for the A-Mod division.
Defending champions from 2008 include Ben Newell(LateModelSportsman),Jamie Ragland(USRA Modifieds),Tim Petty(FactoryStocks),Jason Otto(B-Mods),Brandon Knudtson(Bombers) and JP Compton(305 WingedSprints)
