Legend Car Racing?

Does anyone but me think it would be interesting if a St. Louis track started racing dirt legend cars?

I think it would be a lot of fun to watch a weekly track take up legend car racing.

Just being a longtime fan, not a driver or promoter is there a reason this type of racing hasn’t caught on in the area?

There used to be Modlites and dwarf cars which are the dirt version of ledgend cars at a few local tracks, but about 2 years ago the class completly dried up and no local tracks run them anymore. They were really neat cars though, you could get the speed of a modified for a whole lot less cost.

I remember the legend cars before. I always enjoy watching them, and with money being tight right now it seems like a cheaper alternative to other classes. I just wondered why nobody races them anymore around St. Louis.

I race a legends car, but have to tow all the way down to Springfield, MO to race. Would love to have somewhere to race a little closer to home. They tried them for a few races at Tri-City in the late 90's, but did not have a very big turnout and it sort of died off. I think that the cars would do good up here, but you need enough people to get it off the ground. The best way to get this going would be to run a few races locally and draw from other areas instead of trying to start a full time class with St. Louis teams from scratch. For me, a legends car was cheaper than b-mod, tires last on dirt forever, and the cars are all pretty equal. I can also, change the setup and race on asphalt if I get a chance.
