Debbie Cummins
Bomber Momma #19
As many of you know, Danny Heiple came home from I-55 this past Saturday night to find his home engulfed in flames. He lost everything. He posted on Facebook that all he had left was the clothes he was wearing to I-55 that night.
Danny is one of the most ardent race fans I know....he talks to everyone, travels to all local tracks and beyond, and loves drivers and teams in all classes. He probably had hundreds of racing t-shirts and sweatshirts, but he lost all of them in the fire. I think it would be nice if any race drivers and teams who wished to do so would donate one of their size XL t-shirts to Danny to help him replace the ones he lost in the fire.
You can give them to my son Jimmy Cummins in the pits at Brownstown, IL (Fayette County Speedway) or at Highland Speedway, or bring them to me at my Jr. Fan Club table at Belleville this Friday night. If someone at I-55 would let me know, I can post who to give them to there.
I know Danny would be very, very grateful for any shirts that you could donate to his wardrobe. I can't imagine going through losing all of your belongings and treasured keepsakes in a disaster, be it fire, storm, tornado, hurricane, whatever, so if you could, please help him out and give him one of your racing t-shirts.
Thanks so much for your generosity and help with this benefit project for Danny. I'd like to post all of the teams that give him a shirt. Let's fill up his closet with the most generous racing team shirts in the St. Louis area!!!!
