Burlington, Iowa (June 22, 2006) – The Ideal Ready Mix Sprint Invaders race scheduled for Saturday, July 1st at Lincoln Speedway has been cancelled by the promoters. Management of the Lincoln, Illinois track informed the Sprint Invaders Board of Directors today that "due to circumstances beyond their control" the event would not be held.
In the meantime, the Sprint Invaders Association is geared up and ready to roll for their first "Wide Open Speedweeks" with races set for Wednesday, June 28th at Lee County Speedway, Monday, July 3rd, at 34 Raceway in West Burlington, Iowa, Tuesday, July 4th at West Liberty Raceway and Friday, July 7th at Lee County Speedway in Donnellson, Iowa.
