Lloyd Wood Back in the Saddle for 2010!

FOR IMMEDIATE PRESS RELEASE:

Dateline: Troy, Il Nov 23, 2009

Lloyd Wood has announced that he will once again sit behind the wheel of the famed #81. A hiatus of nearly 30 years will come to an end when the grizzled veteran pilots his Barracuda inspired retro schemed Dodge Neon R/T in the Pro 4/ Factory Stock Division in 2010. A runner up finish in the Amateur Class at Macon Speedway at the end of the 2008 season gave the local legend the itch to return to driving. Known for his elephant like memory and a “don’t give an inch” style, Wood never took any prisoners. “He was an animal.” proclaims Marty Smith Sr., fondly remembering the man famous for knocking down the backstretch lights at Highland Speedway in a fiery airborne crash. Look for Lloyd and the #81x to be at Belle Claire Speedway every Friday night in 2010!

Jimmy Spencer said this past weekend that racing needs passionate drivers. That's what the fans want to see.... Should make for some great racing in 2010 at Belle Clair!:)

I am sure glad I decided to run Bell Clair this year. Going to have a good time with the Wood crew, especially with the old man racing again.

Good Gracious

I'm not gonna lie but this could make for some interesting nights. Good to here old man Wood making the come back. Now Aaron, dont get mad when he door slams you to the moon. At least he cant slam you into tires like at Macomb. LOL No but cant wait to go to Belle Vegas on Fridays since they opened the Bomber rules up. It will be some good times after the races with the Wood crew since the Buss man and Venhaus are gonna be making there way to Belleville sometimes. Good luck old man in the 2010 season. My bets are on you to beat Aaron in points. Nothing against you Aaron but i just love a sibling rivalry. Also give me a call dude lost my phone and your number looking to get stupid some time this off season if u think you can handle it. Just hide the tupperware dishes.:D:D I swear it was still not me.

Swelling Head!

So apparently if you take a few decades off, your sponsors take their $$$ elsewhere? So we just picked up Geritol and Grecian Formula for Men... anyway Don, there isn't actually a snell rating at all on this helmetless hippie frock... the greasy t-shirt doesn't have an SFI rating either? I am as excited as you guys but do me a favor and slow your roll... I'm the one that has to be locked in a shop with him all winter listening to him talk about how he's gonna win Daytona and "Whup it on me!"??? and on and on... and NO Mike, we won't need ANY extra security because Double L is gonna be a good boy or his car owner (cough) will find someone else to fill the seat.

...531-8860 Johnny. I can't even look at Tupperware anymore let alone eat out of it.

No Double Duty-Double L's Outta Luck.

Thomas is my crew chief so Lloyd is on his own as we don't share information. Besides, Lloyd won't need our help because he already knows EVERYTHING... just ask him.
