Local racing should be heating up

The end of the year point chasers should be invading the area starting this week sure we are going to lose a few to the world but I bet you will see a few unfamiliar names show up to take there places and as other tracks close car counts in all divisions should be picking up we might see some national point battles decided right here at our local tracks the rest of the season

3 of the top 5 in UMP points for late models are headed to Eldora, with Kloos and Weaver as the only ones running elsewhere. I think it's great that the Summer Nationals didn't automatically decide the national champ this year. I imagine the StL showdown next weekend will draw quite a few cars.

The I-55 National has drawn World 100 winners in the past. But since it is not series backed, who knows who will show, but it will be interesting to see who does. It will be a good weekend of Late Model racing in the area.
