Waynesboro, Virginia (08/29/17) – Logan Roberson topped the racing action at Maryland’s Potomac Speedway on Friday night in his Wynbridge Inc. #17 BTS Towing Service/ Rocketman Racing/ XR1 Rocket Chassis Late Model.
Powering the Wynbridge #17 XR1 Rocket Chassis Crate Late Model, Logan Roberson invaded Potomac Speedway (Budd’s Creek, Maryland) on Friday evening, competing in the RUSH Crate Late Model division. Rolling off 3[sup]rd[/sup] for the feature, Roberson grabbed the top spot on the 11[sup]th[/sup] circuit and built a comfortable lead during the remaining distance to capture his 12[sup]th[/sup] win of the season. Jamie Sutphin, Darren Alvey, Chuck Bowie, and Mike Franklin completed the Top-5 finishers.
On Saturday with a stout field of 26 Crate Late Models registered at Winchester Speedway (Winchester, Virginia), Roberson started the night off with a heat race victory which locked him into the A-Main. Unfortunately, his night would come to a quick end in the finale. Logan was collected in a wreck on the opening lap. Thankfully he was able to escape the scary incident unharmed after his car started to catch fire.
“It was definitely an up-and-down weekend for us,” Roberson noted. “As good as Friday was, was how bad Saturday turned out to be. It could have been much worse though, and I’m just thankful I was able to get out of the car in a hurry after it caught fire. We’ve got a short week to get ready for the upcoming weekend, but we’ll dig deep and make it happen.”
