Looking for (Full Time) Dirt late model team to work for

Sean dont give up just keep trying if some one picks u up they will be geting a good hand this guy helped me last season and its hard to find some one that will be ready to hit the road and go racing when ever u call him plus keep the car up all week long
 
Don't pay attention to the one's making fun of your persistant attitude. Back in the early 2000's we raced with a guy at Mobery (when it was pavement) that wasn't in that great of a car and didn't race every week, but was there every week. He would walk around the pits asking everyone for a ride.

He would pass out business cards that said "If you need a driver I'm him" You would say no thanks we already have a driver, but he would ask again and again. We would sometimes make fun of him, and even fed him some skunky beer one night. :eek: Eventually he got a good ride in a mini cup car and when he won he would do a back flip on the main straight.

That guy, right now is 2nd in points in the cup and nationwide series and is known for his backflips after he wins a race. Now I wonder what that business card would go for on ebay (we still have one)

Pursue your dream, don't give up.................you never know what could happen................Good Luck!!!
 
Great story, Thats what I have been telling him, Prusue your dreams and soon you will be there. Good luck keep us informed on how things go and if you do get a job doing what you are looking for talk down all the trash talk and say "I told you so thanks for nothing guys" Some of us are there for you. Hammerly I don't think will pay but he always could use a trustworthy hand. He might be able to hook you up with someone, he knows a lot of great racers.
 
dixon,sheppard,byers,milard,b.smith are the only semi local teams that might have the need/resources to do something like this possibly

I would like to say thanks for all the advice. I wont stop tryin I know that there is a team out there that need a crew member. I kept turnin the rock's over intill something work's out.Thanks Shawn

Hey Chris, How you been? Did you get to do much racing this year?I hope old Diamond Jim get's back in the seat.(Good Time's).I miss the old days!!!!!!!! I started helpin Jimmy when I was 10.Butch,Jimmy,Mike,Brad thought me a lot. I would ride my bike as fast as I could after school. To wash the trailer,tires,gears,etc... Do you have any pic of the old RENT 1 CAR???????
 
on southwestmissouriracing.com there is a ad for a full time crew chief for a two car mod / latemodel team. The info listed is for chad wheeler, which means there will be real good equiptment. Said: housing and so on was available. Look in the general discussion area it is a rather new post.

Thanks for the link.I have been talking to Terry Casey. Terry said that he would like for me to come up to WI. But with the enocomy and not racing right now. We both came up with a better idea. We are planning on linking up for speedweeks. Starting in Golden Isle. From the phone calls and being able to talk with Terry, Thing are looking good for a little guy from IL to make it with the big boys.I have wanted this for a long time. Thanks Shawn
 
Good to see you have something in the works. I hate to tell you, I told you so, But in this case I will "I told you if you kept at it good things will come your way" Hope things work out during speedweeks. Keep your eyes & ears open while you are down there and maybe you will run across someting if you and Terry don't work out. Tell Terry we wish you guys the best of luck.
