Dave is a very good friend of our family and he was diagnosed with ALS in 2004. It would mean a lot if we could get a bunch of people to show up or help out.

[FONT="] It’s that time of year again! On June 28th, 2008, the ALS walk will be held in Forest Park. We are inviting you to come join our team, “Abell’s Angels”, in honor of Mr. David Abell. He was diagnosed with ALS in August 2004, and has been experiencing many of the symptoms of this tragic disease over the past few years. There is no known cure, but researchers around the world are working tirelessly to find a breakthrough.[/FONT]

[FONT="]WHEN: Saturday, June 28th, 2008[/FONT]
[FONT="] 9:30 a.m. - Meet to make donations and pick-up t-shirts[/FONT]
[FONT="]10:00 a.m. – Three-Mile Walk Starts[/FONT]
[FONT="]WHERE: Forest Park Education/Visitor Center; St. Louis, MO[/FONT]
[FONT="]Commonly known as “Lou Gehrig’s Disease”, ALS is a progressive neuromuscular disease that causes degeneration of some of the largest nerve cells, called motor neurons. Motor neurons control the movement of muscles. Slurred speech, weakness, difficulty chewing, joint cramps, and paralysis are just some of the symptoms of ALS.[/FONT]
If you would like to make a donation, there are two ways you can do it. Either bring your donation to the walk, or mail it to Ashley Abell
