CORONA, CA (April 7, 2010) - Officials of the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series and Tri-City Speedway (IL) have come to a mutual agreement not to sanction the Fedex 50, scheduled for May 30th. The event falls on the same weekend as the 18th Annual DART Show-Me 100 at Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, MO. The event is slated to take place on the Sunday after DART Show-Me 100, which has been designated as the rain date for the famous event now held at Lucas Oil Speedway.

"Everyone with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series loves going to Tri-City, we love working with the Gundakers and their whole staff," stated Series Director Ritchie Lewis, "we really don't like having to make these changes to our schedule, but we talked with Kevin and Tammy [Gundaker] and everyone agreed that with the 30th being the rain date for the Show-Me, it might be best to let the event go unsanctioned."

"We have an incredible partnership with the Lucas Oil Late Model Series and
Ritchie Lewis and I are very understanding of the decision not to sanction the
Memorial Day May 30th FedEx 50 at Tri-City Speedway. As we all know, the weather is a major factor at racetracks and is totally unpredictable. We look forward to our scheduled July 16 Budweiser 50 Lucas Oil Late Model event at Tri-City Speedway", stated Promoter Kevin Gundaker.

The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will still sanction the Budweiser 50 at Tri-City Speedway on July 16th for the $10,000 to win main event in conjunction with the $10,000 to win 4th Annual Diamond Nationals on July 17th at Lucas Oil Speedway.
