PONTOON BEACH, IL—The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series event scheduled for Sunday Night, July 23 at the Tri City Speedway in Pontoon Beach, IL has been moved back one week due to severe storm damage in the St. Louis area over the last few days. Promoters Kevin and Tammy Gundaker contacted Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series Director Spencer Wilson informing him of the property damage received from the recent storms and all parties have agreed to move the “Miller Lite 50” to next Sunday Night, July 30.

Friday morning storms knocked over four light poles around the speedway including one pole that knocked down a portion of the fence on the front straight away and landed in the grandstands.

There will be a complete show for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series at Tri City Speedway with Comp Cams Time Trials, PBM Performance Products Heat Races, Mason Racin’ Rebel Shock Dyno and Penske Shocks B-Mains followed by the “Miller Lite 50” paying $10,000 to win and $700 to start. It will be the second ever visit to Tri City Speedway with last year’s event won by 2005 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series National Champion, Earl Pearson, Jr. of Jacksonville, FL.

The event at Tri City Speedway will be the second part of a Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series doubleheader of action next weekend in Illinois as the La Salle Speedway in La Salle, IL will host the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series for the second time this season on Saturday Night, July 30 for a $10,000 to win event.

The UMP Modifieds and UMP Sportsman will also be in action on July 30th. The MARS Late Model event originally scheduled for July 30th will be rescheduled and a date announced as soon as possible.
