Lucas Rule Changes

So what's everyone's take on the new regulations on shocks, springs, and suspension parts? Good for the sport? Will Lucas see a drop-off on car counts?

The Rumley's and Davenport made them rewrite the entire suspension portion of the rulebook.. lol

I would expect other series to adopt the same rules.. They all like to stay uniform so cars can go between the series.

The rule change was decided at PRI between all the sanction groups for the change. So if anyone dropps of Lucas its just not because of the rules.

It sounded like some guys were upset because they have now wasted a lot of time to try and get on the same level as Rumley/Davenport. I gained a lot of respect for Rumley after listening to his interview on the DirtNation podcast...but I suppose I can see both sides of the argument.

Also using a nose template so you can't twist or deform the nose in any way. Soon they'll have a NASCAR style claw to police the bodies. Pretty ridiculous.

Anyone read the cage height rule. Anyone with a pre 2012 or 13 rocket better go check their cage height.. If all series adopt these rules and enforce them there are some cars that cannot run..

I read on dirtondirt that those rules will be a standard in late model racing I talked to a coupe team in the past and they said what need tobe done is get rid of the wide bore engines that many teams are using thats where the big cost is

Sounds like WoO is leaning towards sticking with the changes that they made last year (from Dirt-on-Dirt report), but will not be making a final decision until after the 1st of the year.
