Macon Speedway will return to action this Saturday, April 11th, 2009. The 1/5 mile oval will feature the UMP Late Models, Modifieds, Sportsman, Street Stock, and the Hornet divisions.

Last year’s UMP Macon Speedway track champion, Kyle Logue, 21 of Cisco, took the checkered flag opening night during our Second Annual Spring Fling. This week you won’t want to miss Logue and a stout field of drivers battling around our famous high-banked dirt oval.

Saturday night will also be Macon Speedway’s first night for the traditional “Best Fan in the Stands.” A number will be drawn to indicate a finishing position for the Modified feature. The driver finishing in that position will receive $100 and then draw the name of a fan in the stands to also receive $100. If that fan is not present, the $100 will roll into next week’s festivities. So don’t miss your chance to be chosen the “Best Fan in the Stands” and take home $100.

Macon Speedway offers fun family entertainment every Saturday night from April to September. With many fan favorite events on schedule, including three “Night of NASCAR Stars” nights planned and the famous Herald and Review 100, UMP’s premier SummerNational event, 2009 is stacking up to be a memorable year. Be sure to come join Macon Speedway for an action packed summer.

Gates will open at 5:00 and racing will start at 7:30. Adults are $10 and kids 12 and under get in for free with a paying adult.
