This Saturday, Macon Speedway will be implementing a new program with the help of Decatur Used Cars to award to the UMP Crate Late Model division drivers. Also on the slate for Saturday night’s racing program is the ever popular kids’ club box car races. The Macon Speedway kids have been working on their cars and can’t wait to get behind the wheel of their box cars to see who will win the checkered flag. All children are welcome to participate, just bring a box car that they have built and be ready to race! We will also have a special treat for all the box car participants at Macon Speedway this Saturday night…ice cream donated by Prairie Farms, Decatur, IL. Don’t miss your chance to be the lucky fan in our Best Fan in the Stands promotion. Each week we award one lucky fan and modified driver $100 each. To get your $100 simply come to Macon Speedway and fill out an entry form then, come back next race and you might be chosen to be the Best Fan in the Stands.

Last week’s feature winners included first time feature winner Ben Madaris of Decatur, IL in the Amateur Hornet division. Also taking checkered flags were #21 Kyle Logue, Cisco, IL in the Late Model division, #11 Rick Roedel, Shelbyville, IL and #01 Jeremy Nichols in the Modified division,
#95 Steve Ewing in the Street Stock division and #918 Mike Pundt, in the Pro Hornet division, all of Decatur, IL. Kyle Logue, the Macon Speedway UMP Late Model point’s leader, has accumulated 6 feature wins in 2009 including 7 top 3 feature finishes out of the 9 starts he has made in his Sav Mor Pharmacy Late Model. Steve Ewing is no stranger to the winners circle as he has taken home 5 checkered flags this year in the Street Stock division. Rick Roedel trails Taylorville’s own Scott Landers by a mere 2 points for the top spot in the Sportsman point’s race.
