Todd Hall topped a small but excellent Late Model field at the Malden Speedway Friday night. It was Hall's first feature win at Malden in 2004.
Joining Hall in winner's lane were Jeff Greene in the Modified division.
Scott Tracer made it two in a row in Hobby Stocks. Johnny Houart broke Aaron Darby's three race winning streak in the Street Stock Class. The 38 K remained perfect in the Cruisers with Chris and Gene Kelley piloting this week.

Todd Hall threatened to run away and hide in the Late Model feature. Hall grabbed the lead from the outside front row and took off. Hall led by two seconds by lap eight, but the race was not over yet. After an early battle with Carey Conaway, Jeff Floyd took over the second spot and set his sites on Hall. The race was run caution free and the leaders were soon in lapped traffic. By lap 14 Floyd had closed to Hall's bumper and the battle was on.
Floyd looked both high and low for an opening around Hall but this was Todd'
s week. Jack Sullivan came around Conaway on the final lap to take third.
Billy James rounded out the top five. Heat winners were Conaway and Hall.

Hall's win moved him into second spot in the points standings, just 9 points behind Rex Berry who maintained his lead despite his absence.

Jeff Greene was the hired gun of the week as he took the 32 Modified car of Kevin McMillion to victory lane. Greene had to win an early duel before pulling away late to take his first Modified win of the year, he also has won in Hobby Stock. Greene and Dicky Jackson raced side by side through lap two before Greene prevailed. Following a lap five caution, Greene got an excellent jump and was soon pulling away from the field. He had a five second lead by the finish. Jackson and Jared Wagster went side by side midrace for the second spot, with Wagster winning that duel. Claudie Cook was moved up to third when the car of David Esch weighed too light. Jackson
and Jeremy Russell rounded out the top five. Heat winners were Greene,
Jackson, and Robby Arnold.

Claudie Cook moves into the points lead by a slim 3-point margin over Jared Wagster. Bart Richardson's 8th place finish drops him from first to third, but he only trails by 5 points.
