Mark Burgtorf, Ryan Meyer, Tony Dunker and Billy Genebacher all took feature event wins Sunday night at Quincy Raceways in the Heartland Towing and Auto Body night at the races.

Burgtorf took his third feature event win in the Budweiser IMCA Late Models in 6 races. Burgtorf started in the fifth row of the 30 lap main event and worked his way into the lead on the ninth circuit. The number 7 then powered away from the field to take the win and extend his points lead to 22. Veteran Ron Elbe battled valiantly to hold off Denny Woodworth for second but gave way to the Racing Barister on the twenty third lap. Elbe salvaged third with Chris Richards coming from the tenth starting spot to grab fourth. Mike Karhoff came from the back of the pack to take fifth, after an early race incident that ended 2003 Track Champion, Brent Slocum’s night. Lonnie Bailey and Woodworth were the heat race winner while Mike Karhoff laid claim to the hardware in the Summy Tire and Auto Center Trophy Dash.

Rookie Robby Warner took the early lead in the 20 lap Miller Lite A-Modified feature event and battled back and forth with Gary Dreyer for the top spot for the first thirteen circuits. Meanwhile points leader, Ryan Meyer, who had started in the fifth row, caught the fight for the lead and stormed past to take over the top spot. Meyer then cruised to the win with Hank Delonjay in second, Brandon Brown in third, Warner in fourth and Brandon Lennox in fifth. Meyer, Dreyer and first time visitor, Jason Connoyer grabbed the heat race checkers.

The B-Modifieds put on another wild and time limited feature event as they only completed ten of the scheduled 20 laps. Terry Houston held onto the top spot for the first six laps until last weeks feature winner, David Weitholder took over. Weitholder held the lead thru several caution flags but on the final Green, White, Checkered restart, fifth row starter, Tony Dunker slipped by to take the lead and the feature event win. Weitholder held onto second with Jim Leffew in third, Houston in fourth and Matt Burgtorf in fifth. Weitholder, Bobby Cookson and Wes Mayfield were the heat race winners with 2003 Track Champion, Marty Hull taking the win in the P&S Auto and Truck Collision Repair Trophy Dash.

Billy Genenbacher power his way into the lead of the 20 lap Bomber feature event on the third lap and held off all challengers to pick up his first feature win of the season. Genenbacher won over Trevor Webster in second, Steve Carlin in third, Jim Powell in fourth and Jeff Delonjay in fifth. Travis Booher, Bruce Hatfield, Sam Mickels and Eddie Dieker were the heat race winners with Brent Chapman laying claim to the checkered flag in the B-Main.

Racing action continues at Quincy Raceways on Sunday, June 22 with the Annual Pepsi Mid-Season Championships. This event will be a Draw/Redraw format. Gates open at 4:30 with hot laps at 5:45 and racing at 6:30pm.
