Springfield Raceway in Springfield, MO will host the MARS DIRTcar Series this Saturday night September 13th with the running of the 14th annual Larry Phillips Memorial. In tribute to Larry Phillips, Springfield Raceway officials extended the event format to 75 laps in tribute to the iconic #75. The race pays $3,475 to win and $475 to start.
The Larry Phillips Memorial will be the final appearance of the MARS series at the Springfield Raceway this season. Support classes will feature A Mods and B-Mods, Midwest Modz, Pure Stocks and Legend Cars.
Drivers expected to race this weekend include defending MARS champion and current point leader Tony Jackson Jr. of Lebanon, MO; 6-time MARS champion Terry Phillips of Springfield, MO; Justin Asplin of Birch Tree, MO; Will Vaught of Crane, MO; Leroy Johnson of Battlefield, MO; Brandon Morton of Broken Arrow, OK; Brandon McCormick of Lebanon, MO; Jon Driskill of Bentonville, AR; Ryan Gustin of Marshalltown, IA; Cole Wells of Aurora, MO; Garrett Essary of Galena, MO; Darrell Mooneyham of Verona, MO; Justin Wells of Aurora, MO; Jeff Roth of Bentonville, AR and many more!
Pit Gates will open at 3:00pm. Hot laps starting at 6:15pm and racing action will begin at 7:00pm. Pit Passes will be $35. Grandstands will open at 5:00pm and adult admission for the Larry Philips Memorial will be $20 with kids only $5.
