Lebanon,Mo.-The popular O'Reilly MARS SuperLateModel Series will be back in Action after a couple of weeks off in Southwest Missouri with stops at the Action track at the MidwaySpeedway in Lebanon on Friday Night July 10th and at the Quick-Quarter of the SpringfieldRaceway on Sat night July 11th.
Friday night action at the Midway will feature B-Mods,FactoryStocks and Bombers competing in track points races along with the Traveling MARS LateModel Series.
Going into action this Friday night at Lebanon Hermitage Missouri driver and leading Rookie contender Eric Turner leads the MARS points standings with a 118 point lead over Jeremy Payne of Springfield.Defending MARS champion Terry Phillips of Springfield is only 1 point behind teammate Payne while two Lebanon drivers Tony Jackson Jr and Brandon McCormick hold down the top 5.Currently after 12 MARS features this season they have had 6 different feature winners.Wendell Wallace leads in victories with 3 followed by Turner and Payne both with 2 wins,Phillips has 1 along with Nebraska driver Kyle Berek and the most recent winner Kenny Essary of Cape Fair.
Friday night gates open at 5 with hotlaps at 7 and Racing at 8PM with grandstand admission prices being Adults $15. Kids 10 and under Free.Pitpasses will be $30.
Sat night the Martians then travel to SpringfieldRaceway for the running of the John Kuntz/Andy's Frozen Custard Memorial.Gates open Sat night in the Grandstands at 5 with Hotlaps set for 6:45 with Racing at 7:30 sharp.Support classes will include SportMods,and Legends competing for SpringfieldRaceway points along with the Pro-4's.Grandstand Admission Sat night will be Adults $20.Kids prices are 6-12 $5 and under 6 are Free.Pitpasses will be $30.
Drivers expected to battle on the Weekend swing include Turner,phillips,Payne,Jackson Jr,McCormick,2 time IMCA National Champion and front runner on the Show-Me Series Justin Wells,Ken Essary,Darrell Mooneyham and many others.UMP National Points are awarded at both Tracks for these events
