Mars Oklahoma Double Header This Weekend

Batesville, Arkansas (April 20, 2004) – After a triple header through the Ozarks that saw three different winners, the stars and cars of the O’Reilly Mid America Racing Series (M.A.R.S.) will roar back into action as they storm into Oklahoma for a double header in the Sooner state this weekend.

The 2004 campaign is shaping up to be the most competitive in the tour’s history as after four events there have been four different winners. Bill Frye, Wendell Wallace, Jeff Taylor, and Terry Phillips have all found victory lane on the tour thus far this year. Following these four drivers into battle this weekend will be a pack of wolves looking to becoming the fifth and sixth different winners on the tour. Driver looking to find their way into victory lane this weekend for the first time in 2004 include Al Purkey, Dewaine Hottinger, Peyton Taylor, Jeff Floyd, Jeff Taylor, Jon Mitchell, Dustin Mooneyham, Brandon McCormick, Jerry Buck, Steve Rushin, Joey Mack, Leslie Essary, Shane Essary, Gary Stolba, and many more super late model stars of the Midwest.

Night #1 of the double header will find the M.A.R.S. competitors invading Outlaw Motor Speedway for a $3,000 to win feature event on Friday, April 23rd. Gates are scheduled to open Friday at the Outlaw Motor Speedway at 5:00pm. Hot laps are scheduled for 6:30, with racing at 7:30. Adult grandstand tickets are $15.00, with kids 6-12 $4.00. A family ticket is also offered, with two adults and all kids admitted for $35.00. Adult pit passes will be $30.00 and kids 6-12 will be admitted to the pits for $15.00. Night #2 of the double header will find the M.A.R.S. competitors rolling into Salina Highbanks Speedway for the first time since the 2001 season. The super late model pilots will be battling for a $3,000 top prize on Saturday, April 24th. Gates are scheduled to open Saturday at the Salina Highbanks Speedway at 5:00pm. Hot laps are scheduled for 6:00, with racing at 7:00. Adult grandstand tickets are $15.00, with kids 6-12 $5.00. All pit passes will be $30.
