Arlington, OH (June 21, 2006)- Matt Miller and the DSI Racing Team competed in several events last week in the state of Wisconsin. Matt would first stop at Red Cedar Speedway in Menomonie WI for a 50-lap $5,000 to win WDRL sanctioned event on Wednesday June14th. Matt would transfer to the feature event but retired early and was credited with a 23rd place finish. From there the DSI racing Team headed to Superior WI for another 50-Lap $5,000 to win WDRL sanctioned event on Thursday. Matt would have better luck and was in contention to win for most of the feature event. Matt would finish a strong 4th place at the checkers in his #7 Rocket Chassis. After enduring a rain out on Friday night’s event at Cedar Lake Speedway, Matt and the team competed in the prestigious “Masters” on Saturday at Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond WI. The 50-lap $10,000 to win feature event was sanctioned by the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series. Matt would start the feature from the pole position and run in the top five most of the feature but slid back to finish 9th at the checkers.
“We had an up and down week up in Wisconsin. Thursdays 4th place finish was the best finish for us. I was disappointed that we didn’t have a better finish at Cedar Lake after starting on the pole. Hopefully we’ll get back on track this weekend and start winning more of these Lucas Series races”, stated Matt.
Matt Miller and the DSI Racing Team will head to Virginia Motor Speedway in Saluda Virginia on Saturday June 24th for a Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series sanctioned event. The 50-lap feature event will pay $10,000 to the winner and will be another point’s race for the series drivers running for the National Championship on the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series. Matt currently has one win on the series in 2006 and is currently 4th in the point’s standings heading into this weekends event.
