We are heading to Riverside on the 5th for the WOO show. Not real familiar with the area. Is there anyplace just north of Memphis to spend the night. I'd like to stay just north of town to get a head start back on Sunday. I've been down there but always drove back. That is a real boring drive at 2 am.
 
There are lots of places there in West Memphis, if you want to drive an hour north there are several places in Blytheville to stay. I will be staying in West Memphis, maybe i will see you there, it should be a heck of a race.
 
I've been chasing my tail looking for a room in West Memphis. I've called a bunch of places already and everyone has been full. I guess I waited to late. I really didn't expect to have an issue finding a room some where close. When I got my tickets for the race they said there were lots of tickets still available so I was guessing not a lot of non locals going to be in town.
 
If you go into Memphis to get a hotel, do not stay north of I-40. Not a nice section of Memphis.

I always use Priceline and stay around the airport area of Memphis. About a 10 mile drive from "The Ditch".
 
My Aunt lives in Memphis beleive me you have to be very careful where you stay. When we go we always stay on Sycamore View. There is a cracker Barrell next door that is great and other things to do too. I beleive there is a gocart track on that exit as well. Good Luck
 
No rooms in W. Memphis or Marion, Memphis in May starts that day. I am driving 40 miles north to Osceola, AR. to stay. At least it 's in the right direction to come back. The Cottonwood Inn is right off I55, has always been a reputable place in the past. $59.00 for a single & they do have vacancies. Phone #1-870-563-3222. Hope this helps out.
 
Memphis in May the same weekend

There will be no hotel rooms around the city so paln on driving and get there early.
 
If Memphis in May starts that Friday you guys will probably have to drive a good distance for a room.
Their will be tens of thousands in town for it.
Also, if any of you decide to go partying after the races be very careful downtown. There are always a ton of scams and robberies during Memphis in May.
