Mid America Racing Series (M.A.R.S.) Preps For Busy Holiday Stretch

Batesville, Arkansas (7/01/07) – After a month hiatus, the Mid America Racing Series (M.A.R.S.) will return to action with three events in the next five days

Action for the weekend will get underway with a co-sanctioned event with the World of Outlaw Super Late Models on Tuesday, July 3rd at I-44 Speedway in Lebanon, Missouri. Ken Schrader will be on hand signing autographs as well competing in his #99 Super Late Model. For more information on the event, please visit www.lebanoni44.com .

On Wednesday July 4th, the M.A.R.S. tour will make their first ever visit to the ¼ mile, clay oval at Mid America Speedway in Coffeyville, Kansas. The 40 lap event will pay $3,000 to win and $500 to start. In addition, Nextel Cup drivers, Kenny Wallace and Ken Schrader will be on hand signing autographs and racing in various divisions. Saturday, July 7th will find the Mid America Racing Series returning to Lake Ozark Speedway in Eldon, Missouri for a 40 lap $3,000 to win/$500 to start event. The event will be held on the 1/3 mile, clay oval at Lake Ozark Speedway in Eldon, Missouri. Lake Ozark Speedway is located off of Highway 54 at the Highway 52 exit in Eldon, Missouri. The track is located at the end of the frontage road on the south side of Highway 54. Current point’s leader, Al Purkey, from Coffeyville, Kansas will lead his fellow Martians into battle throughout the weekend. Other drivers, who are expected to possibly be in action this weekend include 2006 M.A.R.S. Champion, Bill Frye (Arkansas), Jack Sullivan (Arkansas), Terry Phillips (Missouri), Will Vaught (Missouri), Steve Rushin (Missouri), Brandon McCormick (Missouri), Jeremy Payne (Missouri), and many more.
