Midget photographer Rocky Rhodes passes away

Some sad news to report. Rocky Rhodes passed away this weekend. Until his retirement he and his camera were a fixture at local racetracks. Services for Rocky will be on Tuesday June 2nd, at the Pittman Funeral Home, Highway 70 & 40/61, Wentzville, Missouri. Visitation from 12:30 to 2:30 PM, Service at 2:30 PM and Burial at Peace Cemetery after the services. For any additional information you can call Mitch Rhodes at 636-358-6596. Rocky is survived by his wife Peggy, his two daughters Melissa & Patricia and two sons, Mitch & Mike.
Rocky Rhodes took pictures for SLARA midgets for many years. He also donated most of the pictures in the SLARA 25 year book printed in 1972.

Rocky was one of my favorite photographers growing up. When I first started taking pictures I wanted them to look like Rocky Rhodes photos. I am very saddened to hear of his passing.
