DuQuoin, Ill. has been synonymous with open-wheel racing for several years, and the O’Reilly POWRi National Midget and Micro-Sprint divisions will continue that tradition Saturday September 1st at the Southern Illinois Center.
This is not the first time POWRi has sanctioned races at the Southern Illinois Center – located a stone’s throw from the DuQuoin State Fairgrounds’ Magic Mile. The series also runs at the sixth-mile indoor track during winter months. A strong turnout is not only expected among competitors but fans as well. The DuQuoin State Fair will be running throughout the weekend. A post-race party will also be among the festivities for competitors and fans.
