The “Mighty” Modifieds will once again invade Central Missouri Speedway on Saturday night, May 26th and compete in their first Modified Special of 2007 race season along with the Late Models in the ULMA Duel Showdown. The modifieds will race to the checkers for the $2.000 to win first place money during the 40 lap A-Main feature event. You never know who will show at CMS for these special races and already this year nearly 60 drivers have competed at the high banks. The late models will also be competing in night two of their first-ever ULMA Duel Showdown. Plus, the Street Stocks and B-modifieds will also be racing. It should be another outstanding night of local dirt track racing at CMS and you may want to arrive early to secure your favorite seats.
Gates open at 5, hot laps at 7 and racing starts at 7:30. Special admission prices will be in effect for this weekend’s event. General admission will be $15, seniors 55 and over and students and military with ID are $12, children 6 to 12 are $10 and kids 5 and under are free. Pit passes for this event are $25. If a driver has competed at least twice PRIOR to this weekend at CMS in a modified then they do not pay the $100 entry fee! If they have not raced at least twice PRIOR to this weekend then the entry fee is $100!
You can also hear the latest track results and drivers interviews during CMS Track Talk on KOKO -1450 on Wednesday night at 5:30 and on the CMS Internet show via the Racinboys.com on Thursday evening at 7 p.m. Also, on Fridays at 9:30 am on KSIS -1050 from Sedalia, you can receive the latest track results during the CMS Racing Update.
For current and up-to-the-minute racing information you can also call the track report line by dialing (660) 747-2166. You can find additional information at the track’s web site-www.centralmissourispeedway.net and check back often for the remaining schedule as well as complete results and point standings in each racing division. Note: If the weather does not cooperate and racing is canceled on Saturday, the entire slate of racing events will be conducted on Sunday, May 27th at the same times listed above.
