Mike, is this anyway for the Missouri state barrel racing champ to act. I never saw the Hammer Man fall out of his racecar!!! Well at least not during the race.

Thanks for all the kind words. I will have to go through a second surgery to repair my elbow and that will be scheduled for sometime next week. I'll live through it and be back soon. Doctors have all told me no more barrel racing this year, so I guess its belleville on fridays mt vern on saturday, and sundays, well there for boating aint they dirtgirl? maybe i"ll sell that horse and get a runabout.....Nahhhhhhhhhh...

thanks again for the thought guys.

For those who want to know, here is an update on my condition. Lots of pain and lots of drugs the last 4 days. 1st surgery was Thursday night to insert a SS rod from my shoulder to 1 inch above my elbow. 2nd Surgery is scheduled for this Wednesday at noon to repair the elbow itself. If all goes well they maybe able to repair everything at this time and avoid a 3rd surgery. Dr. says its doubtful for a 100% recovery in range of motion but I should be able to regain all strength and endurance in that joint. Long story short... my barrel racing days are not over quite yet, and my wife says I can't get back on any horse for six months.

Now on to the important stuff. I may be back at the races Sunday at Tri-City!!!!!!!!!

Also... FOR SALE.... 1 rodeo grade 5 year old quarter horse. Award winning bucker at the Hickman Family Buck-off. This is an "eliminator pen" caliber horse, last rider only made it 4 bucks. Recently castrated. Knots on side of head. Easy Keeper . Loves sheep (in case the Krekes are interested.) paid a small fortune for him, will sacrifice.
(sacrifice the horse not the price).

Thanks for all your thoughts and phone calls. And no, the horse isn't really for sale or hurt.

mike

Mike there is no reason to get a run about keep the horse and give me a call on Sunday :) Hope all is well. That 16 hands feels more like 16 feet when you fall huh !!! LOL! Get Well Soon. And if you drink the juice you won't need any meds for the pain  :D
