Mike hammerle at belleville 8-8-08

There has been a gag order placed on kingeddy. He's nothing but a loudmouth weasle.

clyde

I can't resist...

Why do you say this? Because he can come on here and prove people wrong or make points and show people how to think about things differently. And the majority of the time (I would say 99.9% of the time) he manages to do this without bashing or insulting anyone like most of the people on here...

I for one enjoy his comments and comments towards others because he does it respectfully and backs his words up...

I hardly ever go on Saturdays anymore. I always go on Fridays to Tri-City.

You gonna make it out to The Bach Festival this year??

I hope to. Last year no one told me when it was:mad::(. I took that personally too.:D

Watch it Jason....you know how dangerous those people with multiple personality disorders are.

clyde...I mean king....

It was more fun when we were running the late model 100 lappers back in the mid-70's,at St. Charles, Tri-City, and Godfrey.
Mike had a Chevelle back then,(Then he built a Camaro) we ran against Wib, Russ Wallace, Bill Myers, CC Corbin, Charlie Johnson,Bucky Beasley, Len Gettimeir, Bill Shear, Louie Jannsen,Francis Kelly,Lou Thery, Bobby Stanton, Those were some races!!!!

Didn't someone drive the car after Mike had that wreck?I have a old pic from after that accident and there's a for sale sign behind his name on the drivers side, car still alive holding a checkerd flag of course,I know he didn't quit but it seemed some one sat in for him right after that.

I remember Bobby B. driving for him. Filled in pretty well if memory serves me right.

Didn't Bizzelli drive for him another time when Mike had that head on crash into turn 3-4 wall at I55? I remember that crash well, I was sitting right where he hit. Seemed his throttle must have stuck cuz he hit her wide open.

btw..... I've seen that pic of him flippin' before, but never noticed what looks like his arm out the window???

He hurt his back pretty bad in that wreck. I was at his garage and he built a homemade fixture (of course) to exercise and stenghten his back. At that time he was doing double duty running Allied modifieds and running in the late model class, which he won the track title at Godfrey that year. Yes that was Bobby B. in the car,and no Mike never gives up!!!

Kingeddy is correct. The old color for the Gremlins was orbit orange and the centersteer cars also. The new color is Sunburst yellow. Great job on the pics too King.....that's cool to show people....scan some more. I've been blessed to having to match the paint for the latemodels!!

BTW Lizz.....this Clyde Torkel dood seems to be givin you a tough time??? I think you need to work on your people skills a bit....maybe get along with folks?? Let me know how it works out for you!! :) Maybe you need a night @ Belleville with myself and Mike Bach to straighten you out a little. You get cooped up in that little town, think about deer hunting, and your mind kinda flames out. Come on down and hang out with some normal people.....you will appreciate the experience and it will do you good.:p

I've never seen photos of I-55 without walls. But last weekend I was sitting there thinking about the track history and trying to imagine what the area may have looked like before the track evolved to where I first remember it. I may be fabricating memories but I remember a railroad tie wall, or something similar along the back straight that cars use to get hung up on from time to time. Wish I could have had the presence of mind to take photos or at least remember more about it.
