BONNE TERRE, Mo. -- (May 28-29, 2005) The inaugural Missouri Open Invitational brought out a large number of racers and race fans over the weekend at Big River Sand Drags. The biggest winner of the weekend was Dan Wies of Wentzville as he drove his Open 4x4 to a pair of first place and top eliminator nights.

Here's a recap of the racing results from Saturday.
In Vehicle ET, Gladys Edwards of Bonne Terre was the first place winner with second place winner Bryan Cox winning the top eliminator race.

In Competition Eliminator, Carla Glatczak of Potosi was the first place winner with second place winner Brad Lunn of Pacific taking the top eliminator race.

In Off Road Modified, Kevin Sellers was the first place winner with second place winner Todd Dee of Leadwood winning the top eliminator race.

In Open 4x4, Wies was the first place winner and top eliminator with J.R. Dreher of Wentzville taking second place.

In Stock Buggy, Ralph Smith of Mineral Point was the first place winner with Jeremy Sutton of Park Hills taking second place and the top eliminator race.
In Super Pro ATV, Jason Waller of Bonne Terre was the top eliminator and first place winner with Mark Dickens of Bloomsdale taking second place.

In Pro ATV, Kevin Betzer was the first place winner and top eliminator with Jim Glatczak of Potosi taking second place.

In ATV-1, Kyle Brown was the top eliminator and first place winner with Allie Glatczak of Potosi taking second place.

In Junior ATV, Thad Farris of Potosi knocked off his older brother, Garth Farris, to win both first place and top eliminator. Garth settled for second place.

In Super Pro ATV, Mark Dickens was the first place winner with Sam Coleman taking second place and top eliminator.

In Pro TV, Randy Hayes of Pilot Knob was the first place winner with Jimmy Farris of Potosi taking the top eliminator race and second place.

In ATV-1, Eric McCoy of Potosi was the first place winner with Allie Glatczak of Potosi winning second place and the top eliminator race.

In Junior ATV, Thad Farris was once again the first place winner, but Whitney Dee of Leadwood won the top eliminator race.

In Vehicle ET, Philip Beaird of St. Louis was the first place winner with Bryan Cox repeating his effort of Saturday night by winning second place and then winning the top eliminator race.

In Off Road Modified, Kevin Sellers was the first place winner with Todd Dee taking second place and top eliminator.

In Stock Buggy, Jeremy Sutton was the top eliminator and first place winner with Cody Sellers taking second place.

In Open 4x4, Dan Wies was again the first place and top eliminator winner with David Mallow of Bonne Terre taking second place.

In Competition Eliminator, John Dreher of Wentzville was the first place winner with Steve Barton of Bonne Terre taking second place and winning the top eliminator race.

Also during special ceremonies on Saturday night, track owners added three new members to the "Wall of Fame." Having their names place on the Wall of Fame were Chris Mackley, Rick Finney and Jason Stepan.

This Saturday night is "Pickup Trucks for Red Cross Night" at Big River Sand Drags. All proceeds from the event will go to the American Red Cross. All pick-ups, both street and non-street legal are welcome to participate. The entry fee is $25. A helmet is mandatory to race.
