Anyone at the state fair? Heard Life Flight has been in twice tonight. Anyone know?

We were supposed to be there but decided to not go at the last minute. But got messages from people there running with MLRA and 1st a sprint car wreck got the driver flown out. Then during the annual cop race for charity a car got into the pits and hurt approximately 20. At least one lost his legs and 3 serious head injuries. So 5 flown out! Need lots of prayers for all involved!

Latest info says, the sprint driver broke his neck. And only 4 hit by the cop race car. One serious that needed flown out. 3 others transported. Rest of the racing for the night was canceled.

It was Jordan Creason, wasnt a hard flip but best I could tell he got the guardrail in the car with him. Lights werent on in turn two so couldnt see well. The cop car jumped the 8 inch high guardrail on the front strait and went through the chain link fence. Lets just hope for the best, very sickening

I got this message from Karen Darling one of the main officials and head Scorer.

For all of you that know I worked at the Missouri State Fair races tonight as an official. To set things straight as to what took place at the track tonight is this. Jordan Creason was in a serious wreck at the track. He was life flighted to Columbia University from the track. He has head trauma. I got word that he is has a small brain bleed and that they are releaving the pressure. They did induce him into a coma. Prayers need to go out to him and his family and friends.

We had just started the Battle of the Badges 1st race when one of the car had spun on the back stretch and the yellow was brought out. Coming out of turn 4 one of the cars got sideway and was tapped by another car and this caused the car to go into the guard rail. They were still at speed. The car hit the guard rail and jumped the fence and hit people in that area. 3 people were hit by the car. 1 person was life flighted to Columbia University with leg injuries. Another per...son was set by ambulance to Bothwell with shoulder, possible broken, and bump on head. Later sent to Columbia. The other person was sent to Bothwell also. Haven't heard anything on this one but understand may not be bad.

There was also another person that was knocked down and just got a small cut on his arm.

This was a night I will never forget. My prayers go out to all these people who were hurt in some way.

I do want to thank all the drivers and crew who tried to help when we needed it. And understanding that we needed to stop the races.

Right now we need prayers for all the injured and thier families.

Karen Darling
