"Modern Day Cowboy Ticks up third NALMS win at Putnamville"

John Gill of Mitchell, Indiana took advantage of the rain-shortened Feature Race by winning the $2,000 Feature Prize Saturday Night August 2, 2003 at the Lincoln Park Speedway in Putnamville, Indiana. This was Gill's third Northern Allstars Late Model Series win of the season. This was also Gill's fifth career NALMS win of his career.

Gill lead until the caution came out for rain, officials waited as long as possible but the race was called due to rain. Gill, although he won, had gotten several challenges from second place finisher Steve Hillard.

Gill came to Victory Lane in the Terry Eaglin Motorsports Rocket/Race Tek powered Pontiac Gran Prix. His # 75 machine is sponsored by Helena, Penske Shocks, Performance Plus Car Wash, Lane Automotive, and Cyclone wash.

The Next event for the NALMS will come up on Saturday Night, August 9, 2003 as the Indiana based traveling organization will move to David and Anita Ferrell's Bluegrass Speedway in Bardstown, KY for a $10,000 to win/60 Lap Main Event. Darrell Lanigan of Union, KY picked up the NALMS win earlier in the season at Bluegrass Speedway. This race will be the "Bluegrass Classic". Last years winner was Bob Pierce of Oakwood, Illinois.
