I think something should be addressed in this class that would help remedy all of the crashing/spinning. I wonder if a different tire rule would work? I think the expense of running softer tires would be canceled out by less tore up equipment and happier fans. Just a thought.

You are probably right, but the way I see it they would just be going faster when the collision happened.

I think we should make an announcment at a drivers meeting or something that states "ATTN MOD DRIVERS the track is gonna get a black glaze over it before the feature, you guys are going to want to slow down driving thru this glaze, i know this is a crazy thought but if you slow down you will go faster and GET THIS GUYS you wont wreck which means less working on the racecar during the week. Its funny how people complain about kids racing multi's however they get over at least 20 mins before the modifieds.

What class do you run Rim Rida35? Sounds like you do not race anything to me. I do race in the modifieds. I watched racing for over 20yrs. and thought the same as you do. Until you buy a car and strap in you do not have a clue. Why do SFCR just put us before the sprints when tack is still tacky??

You do have a point slowing down in the corners, but when the adreniline is at full bore. This is called competiveness. I am guilty of spinning out myself (called rookie) plus there are other rookies in this class. Please be patient as the racing will get better as us "rookies" learn how to drive and set our cars up for track conditions.

thug boy

havent you ever noticed that almost the whole track is dry slick. after the race why dont you just walk out there and see. the WHOLE track is slick at the end of the night. And as far as the mods go i think they put on a fine race and if you dont like it take your happy @$$ to one of the many other tracks. and i could see what scuffer was saying but rimrida your the one who needs to go to a dift track or stop compaling or tell cory your self that it needs fixed

and by the way that "black galze" is called a dry slick track. but it evens out the playing field b/c the guys with the big motors dont pull away as quick.

Hey Cobra, what kind of mustang parts are you looking for? Got an 85 mustang and needing to get rid of it.
Modfan16, I'm broke........ so it would have to be a heck of a deal;)

I run a midget now (well in the process of gettin it together) graduated from the multi ranks, ive drove on a rough, dry slick track, to a just flat *** dry slick track, i totally understand the rookie ranks we all had to start somewhere im just saying they should prolly but a time limit or maybe a 10 flag caution limit. Some people drive a very very long way to watch the sprints, i for one drive 2 and half hours when i raced at the farm. Its a good track cause as you stated above you need a set up to get around the place. And as for watching Mods over Multi's buddy i promise you go to Belle - Clair and you'll see a multi race. SFCR is a lil big. My opinion is the same as yours Racin 75 run your feature first before the sprints blow all the wet stuff (aka wet dirt) off the track. Ive mentioned to Cory about maybe moving around the show for the people who do drive the distances, but for you guys who dont race you try sittin your *** in a fire suit and helmet waiting for a race to end its a lil warm.

the multies are awesome my bud ran them there nothin wrong with them
at all but yea the track may be a tad big for them.

do people really go hours to watch 18 sprints?? lol

rim rida

multis are fine jus dont bash the mods. i think it makes it more of a level playing feild when it is dry slick so there for the racing is a better in a way just my opoion i like all the classes run there at SFCR.

softer tires might help the spinning problem and
consider that these mods are alot of hp for the tire we run i agree we should get a chance to run first and rotate that order every week and let the sprints be a part of this like everybody else hey if they are last every 4th week they will sell more food and beverage that night.
and i have heard that a few mod drivers ask last year to go last they dont like heavy race tracks the more dry slick the better i do know a driver that ask to rotate the classes and he was told this by a track offical let the mods go first when the track has a little moisture in it and see if they can do a better job with time and less cautions he was told that the mods wanted to go last i wonder which drivers was asked this it sure wasnt the dude i know

I really wasnt trying to bash at all, so next week mod's run last or run last every week. Thats how i see the situation being resolved. They want a dry slick track the multi's will use up the bottom for um. Someone should bring this to Cory's attn besides one person

Maybe If You Put A Spoiler On Them It Might Help But Still A Mod Is A Very Hard Car To Drive

I agree with you Kingracer, they should and maybe they do, .rotate all four classes. That would be the fair thing to do. Like you said every fourth week extra coins at the concession stand!!:D

if i recall right i think two years ago they did attempt to rotate the classes for a few nights...and then they went to the old way..also used to be (kind of still is) the big drawer was the sprints and if they got them out of the way first then that ment the people who just came for that could leave and atleast they got home early, well some of us worked on mods, and now drive them and we have to wait....thats my oppion, the tires might help as we are being able to run Hoosiers now, because IMCA is making that the tire of choice in 2007 thats what you have to run if you want to get IMCA points at an IMCA track.

you are right they did try to rotate the classes and there was not much better results. but if you look and think about it it's the same drivers every week that bring out the cautions and it's those drivers that gather up good drivers and create tore up race cars and thats in every class not just the mods. if they want to speed up the show either put a time limit on each and every feature/heat race or put a limit on the number of cautions that occur when that number has played in then the flagman is notified buy the scores and he gives the drivers one more start with them knowing that this is the last chance and it will be green, white, checkerd and its a done deal "race over" regardless of the running order.

Mabey there should be fewer cars that make it out of the semi, like the top two. The newer guys still get some lap time (semi) and the feature might run a little smoother if the same ol' spinners aren't in it.
