Modoc 100 paying $10,000 to win Opens 2009 Fastrak Racing Series Campaign

CARNESVILLE, GA (march 1st, 2009)—What a way to start any racing season but with a $10,000 to win main event!

That’s just what Brian Stewart and his team at the Modoc Speedway in Modoc, South Carolina along with the Fastrak Racing Series has in store for fans and teams alike.

On Friday and Saturday March 6/7, 2009 the Fastrak drivers will be competing for $10,000 to win / $300 to start in the Annual ‘Modoc 100’ racing event for the GM Performance Late Models.

The Fastrak Racing Series National Touring event is expected to draw lots of race teams from across the nation vying for that $10,000 to win top spot.

On Friday March 6, festivities will open with Practice, two-lap Time Trials and Heat Races. On Saturday March 7, the Last Chance B-Mains and the 100-lap A-Main will be run.

The Limited Sportsman (Hobby), Super Street, Stock V8 and Stock Super 4 class will all compete during the two-day racing event running for $1,000 in each respective class.

On Saturday the Extreme 4, Young Guns, Road Warrior and Stock 4 classes will have Feature races only.

In addition to the A-Main winnings, other contingency awards have been posted including the $250 Fast Time Award courtesy of Cushman Paint & Body of Evans, Georgia.

Also, 26 starters will compete for prize money during the event as officials have announced two provisional starting spots which will go to the 25th and 26th positions.

On Friday March 6, the Gates will open at 12:00 with the Driver’s Meeting slated for 7:00 p.m. with Hot Lapping slated shortly thereafter.

On Saturday March 7, the Gates are slated to open at 12:00 p.m.. with the Driver’s Meeting at 5:00 p.m.

The pre-entry deadline is February 21st which will be $175.00.
After that date the entry fee goes to $200.00.

Including the main event for the 26 starters, an additional ‘Bonus Feature’ sponsored by ‘Cabinet’s By Design’ has been added to the lineup allowing all cars that come to the ‘Modoc 100’ event a chance to compete during the weekend’s events.

A driver autograph session has been set for Saturday March 7, 2009 at the Wal-Mart in Augusta, GA. After that, lunch will be served at the Cabinet’s By Design race-shop located nearby.
