NEW FLORENCE, MO (June 27th) –- Montgomery County Speedway had one of the hottest nights of racing on the hottest day of the year so far.

Bryan Collins returned to winning form in the Budweiser UMP Late Model division, Bryan won his heat, the dash and the feature to complete the triple crown for the evening.

Once the green flag dropped Bryan took off and left the field and never looked back. Chasing Bryan to the line was Steve Shive, Shawn Rayfield, Gary Wilson and Ken Rumble.

In the Miller UMP A-Modified division Leroy Haney and Rusty Griffaw hooked up for another back and forth battle that lasted for the entire feature. Griffaw could pull along side of Haney on the straights and Haney would pull away off the turns, Griffaw could never pull off the pass to take the lead. So for the second week in a row Leroy Haney wins the feature event.

Chasing Leroy Haney to the line was Rusty Griffaw, Gary Archambauld, Mike Vanderiet, Jr., and Jeff Horst.

Since Leroy Haney has won the feature for 2 weeks in a row, there is now a $100 bounty to any one that can beat Leroy in Miller UMP A-Modified feature event.

Action in the B-Modified division saw Tim Barrett holding off Jerry Dean to win his 2nd feature of the season at Montgomery County Speedway. The win had special meaning for Tim since he has recently learned that his father has been diagnosed with cancer. Tim had a “Get Well Dad”, message on the side of his car for his father.

Chasing Tim Barrett to the line was Jerry Dean, Dan Bimson, Casey Morris, and Brian Kinnnaird.

In the Pepsi Super Street division Ron Imm, Jr. picks up his second feature of the season by holding off a pack of 5 cars that were all trying pick up the win.

Ron Imm, Jr. and Dan Kaminski started side by side on the front row once the green came out they ran side by side for a lap before Kaminski spun out in turn 4, sending him to the rear of the field.

Once the race resumed Buddy Lowry, Daryl Dodge, Beau Davis and Sam Worley mixing it up for 2nd through 5th, the action went on until Sam Worley blew an engine to bring out another caution.

When the green came out Ed Lowry and Dan Kaminski took the top and tried to ride the cushion to the front, Lowry and Kaminski appeared to have the fastest cars on the track but there wasn’t enough laps to come from behind. Daryl Dodge was able to duck under Buddy Lowry for 2nd and Ron Imm, Jr. held on for the win.

Chasing Ron Imm, Jr. to the line was Daryl Dodge, Buddy Lowry, Beau Davis, Ed Lowry and Dan Kaminski.

In the RAMS Mini Stock division there was a very hotly contested race between Rob Denny, Dave Wofford, Jr. and Wes Kintz, they battled lap after lap side by side, with Wes Kintz trying high and low to get around both of them until lap 12 when they reached lap traffic and Wofford was able to pull out to a lead over Denny. Kintz faded late in the race with a flat tire.

Dave Wofford, Jr. earned his 8th feature win of the season at Montgomery County Speedway. There is still a $100 bounty to anyone that can beat Dave Wofford, Jr. in a feature event at Montgomery County Speedway.
